While we work to keep the vocabulary, translations, definitions, example sentences, and audio accurate and useful for Bengali-speaking learners, we make no warranties of any kind about completeness, accuracy, reliability, or suitability for a particular purpose.

1. Educational use only

VocabBondhu is a vocabulary-learning aid for self-study. It is not a substitute for a qualified language teacher, an authoritative dictionary, an academic syllabus, or formal tutoring. For high-stakes examinations (SSC, HSC, IELTS, TOEFL, university admissions), always consult your prescribed materials and qualified instructors.

2. Word lists and definitions

English word lists are sourced from established academic research (UEfAP, Coxhead's Academic Word List, Paquot's Academic Keyword List, and the New General Service List). Bengali translations, definitions, and example sentences were generated with the help of AI. We continually improve the content based on user reports, but at any given moment:

• Some translations may not capture every dialectal variation between Bangladesh, West Bengal, or diaspora Bengali.
• Definitions are intentionally simplified for English learners; technical or specialist senses may not be covered.
• Example sentences are illustrative; they are not citations from authoritative corpora.

3. Audio pronunciation

Audio is synthesised with Microsoft Edge Text-to-Speech (en-US Jenny Neural). It reflects standard American English; British, Australian, or South Asian English pronunciations may differ.

4. No professional advice

Nothing on VocabBondhu constitutes professional advice. Vocabulary in subject-specific lists (medicine, law, business, computer science, environmental science, etc.) is offered to help you recognise terminology; it must not be relied upon for medical, legal, financial, or other professional decisions. Always consult a qualified professional in the relevant field.

5. External links and advertisements

VocabBondhu contains links to third-party websites for reference and attribution. We do not control the content of those sites and accept no responsibility for their accuracy, availability, or privacy practices.

VocabBondhu does not currently display any advertisements — we have not yet been approved for Google AdSense, and Google AdMob is not integrated into the mobile app. Once either is enabled: the appearance of any advertisement will not constitute endorsement by us of the advertised product, service, or claim, and any transaction you enter into with an advertiser will be solely between you and that advertiser.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VocabBondhu, its contributors, and its hosting providers will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service — including, without limitation, examination performance, professional decisions, business outcomes, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
